Job Title: Personal Lines Customer Service Representative Department: Sales and Service Qualifications: Ontario RIBO Licensed
Principle Purpose of Job:
This position requires a high degree of public contact as well as some administrative work using automated systems and Insurance related software programs. This environment is fast paced and challenges you to multi-task. Team members in this position are required to respond to client inquires, a variety of requests and to work on resolving insurance related problems. An ability to work well both over the phone and face to face with the clients is a necessary skill. The ideal candidate will be able to manage interruptions while being able to maintain their priorities, complete their tasks, follow up on their commitments and work with a high degree of professionalism, integrity and hospitality. Working interdependently with other team members is key to the success of our service department as well as a requirement. Attention to detail, accuracy, efficiency and excellent written and oral communication skills are needed for this role. Principle Purpose of Job:
This individual will be the first point of contact for Advocate visitors and guests. A strong ability to deal with a challenging environment while staying focused on the task is key. Works well with a wide variety of people. Adapts to changing needs. Commitment to direct calls accurately and ability to discern the needs of both the clients requiring assistance as well as the team members in the office. The ideal candidate will know how to be both welcoming and direct as needed. Must be able to work as team with the secondary receptionist while at times working independently managing the phones and visitors independently. Flexibility and adaptability are skills needed to succeed in this dynamic role.
